Baptism
The sacrament of Baptism (for babies and young children) is usually celebrated at 2.00pm or during Mass on one Sunday each month. If you have not already done so for a previous child, you will be expected to take part in two sessions of preparation, which are usually held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7pm. To arrange a baptism, please speak to Fr. Keith after one of the Sunday Masses.
First Confession and First Communion
If your child is in Year 3 or above, and comes to Mass with you in this
parish, he or she is eligible to join our programme of preparation,
which runs from October to April each year. The First Communion Masses
take place in May.
Confirmation
This is usually conferred at or around Pentecost, on those who are 14
years old or above, following a course of instruction beginning in
January.
Marriage
In accordance with the norms required by canon law, six months notice
must be given - whether the marriage is to take place here or abroad -
in order to enable the required preparation to take place.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
This is the normal form of preparation for those who are Christians of
other traditions or those who are non-Christians to enter the Catholic
Church. The meetings take place in the Parish Office at 7pm on Thursday evenings, beginning February 25. If you think you may be interested, further details
can be obtained from Fr. Keith.
